64 AN ACT
75 relating to the compensation of county auditors for certain
86 counties.
97 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
108 SECTION 1. Section 152.032(d), Local Government Code, is
119 amended to read as follows:
1210 (d) The amount of the compensation and allowances of a
1311 county auditor in a county subject to this subsection may be set in
1412 an amount that exceeds the limit established by Subsection (a) if
1513 the compensation and allowances are approved by the commissioners
1614 court of the county. This subsection applies only to:
1715 (1) a county with a population of more than 108,000 and
1816 less than 110,000;
1917 (2) a county with a population of 120,000 or more,
2018 excluding a county subject to Subsection (b);
2119 (3) a county with a population of more than 1,000 and
2220 less than 23,000 that borders the Gulf of Mexico; and
2321 (4) a county that:
2422 (A) borders a county with a population of more
2523 than one million; [subject to Subsection (b)] and
2624 (B) [that] has a population of more than 36,000
2725 [108,000] and less than 40,000 [110,000].
2826 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2927 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
3028 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
3129 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
3230 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
