| 9 | 9 | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Article VIII, Texas Constitution, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Section 19b to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 19b. The legislature by general law may exempt from ad | |
| 13 | 13 | valorem taxation a structure used to store implements of husbandry | |
| 14 | 14 | that are used in the production of farm or ranch products. The | |
| 15 | 15 | legislature by general law may provide additional eligibility | |
| 16 | 16 | requirements for the exemption. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | |
| 18 | 18 | submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 3, 2015. | |
| 19 | 19 | The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the | |
| 20 | 20 | proposition: "The constitutional amendment authorizing the | |
| 21 | 21 | legislature to exempt from ad valorem taxation structures used to | |
| 22 | 22 | store certain implements of husbandry." |
