| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Leadership Flower Mound on the occasion of its visit to |

| 4 | 4 | | the Capitol on February 24, 2015; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Flower Mound is a member service of the |

| 6 | 6 | | Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce; through the years, it has |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | become an important community-building program that has figured |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | prominently in the growth and prosperity of the area; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding program is a nine-month course |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | of study that includes classes on the history of Flower Mound, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | education, community service, leadership dynamics, and the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | interplay of city, county, and state governments; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Flower Mound is designed to inspire a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | spirit of activism and to provide its membership with training in |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | leadership, opportunities for networking, and insight from |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | knowledgeable people in both the public and private sectors; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Through its efforts to develop a new generation of |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | leaders and to build a more informed and involved citizenry, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Leadership Flower Mound is helping to create a brighter and more |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | promising future for our state; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of Leadership Flower |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Mound on their commitment to public service and extend to them |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | best wishes for a memorable visit to the Capitol; and, be it further |
