                    SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 141
 In Memory
 of
 Edward Francis Bysinski
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
 of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Captain Edward Francis
 Bysinski, who died January 31, 2015, at the age of 92; and
 WHEREAS, Edward Bysinski was born on August 6, 1922, in
 Hammond, Indiana; he enriched the lives of all who knew him
 through his strength, his engaging personality, and his
 enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; and
 WHEREAS, He joined the United States Air Force at the age
 of 22 and served with distinction as a fighter pilot in World War
 II; he earned the rank of captain during his 23 years of service
 and was the recipient of numerous awards and medals; he retired
 from the military in 1968; and
 WHEREAS, In 2011, he was honored with the Distinguished
 Service to Country Award by the Bexar County Democratic Party,
 and the following year he was named honorary Grand Marshall of
 San Antonio's annual Veterans Day Parade by the United States
 Military Veterans Parade Association; and
 WHEREAS, Captain Bysinski was preceded in death by his
 lifetime partner, Dora Rabago; he cherished time spent with his
 family, and he was a man of faith who was active in many civic and
 political organizations; he will long be remembered with
 affection and admiration by all who were privileged to share in
 his life; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
 family of Captain Edward Francis Bysinski; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
 memory of Captain Edward Francis Bysinski.
