| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Zackary Jerry Kimbrough Jr., who retired on February 3, |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | 2015, after 32 years of loyal service to the City of Dallas; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Kimbrough began his career in public service |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | with a position in the Dallas Police Department; he worked in |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | numerous city departments over the years, including the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Equipment and Building Services division, the Dallas Water |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Utilities division, the Economic Development Department, and the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Dallas Fire and Rescue Department; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, While serving the city, he earned a bachelor's |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | degree in applied business administration from Dallas Baptist |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | University, and he acquired the skills necessary to ascend |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | through the ranks of administrative leadership; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Wherever he served, Mr. Kimbrough handled his |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | responsibilities with exceptional care and dedication; he is |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | retiring from the Dallas Police Department, where he first began |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | his service to the city; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 84th Legislature, hereby commend Zackary Jerry Kimbrough Jr. on |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | his exceptional career and his many contributions to the City |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | of Dallas and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | it further |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
