SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 209
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Chinese International Women Entrepreneur and
Professional Association on the occasion of the organization's
inaugural gala, which is being held on February 28, 2015; and
WHEREAS, The Chinese International Women Entrepreneur and
Professional Association is a nonprofit organization that was
registered in Texas on July 8, 2014; the association's goal is to
provide an advanced networking forum for successful women
executives and to help Chinese American women to advance in all
areas through knowledge and empowerment; and
WHEREAS, Members work closely together and exchange ideas
with the hopes of cultivating the entrepreneurial spirits of
young women and impacting their career development; and
WHEREAS, In addition to providing a network for
professional women, the association is committed to serving the
less fortunate by contributing to charitable organizations that
help abused women and children; through its exceptional service
to women and the community, the association has become a major
asset to our state; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Chinese
International Women Entrepreneur and Professional Association
for their contributions to the economic growth and prosperity of
our state and extend best wishes to all for a successful
inaugural gala; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the association as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
