| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce, which recently |

| 4 | 4 | | celebrated 80 years of service to the community; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Lockhart Chamber of Commerce was established |

| 6 | 6 | | in 1935 to advance the economic, industrial, agricultural, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | professional, cultural, and civic welfare of the City of |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Lockhart; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The chamber encourages the growth of existing |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | industries and businesses and assists new firms and individuals |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in relocating to the area; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Throughout its history, the chamber has remained |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | committed to improving the lifestyle of area citizens and to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | promoting policies that are relevant to their needs and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | concerns; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Members of the chamber celebrated the special |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | anniversary at the annual Lockhart Chamber of Commerce Awards |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Banquet and Casino Night, where they recognized members of the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | community who have made notable contributions to the city's |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | cultural and economic success; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Lockhart Chamber |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | of Commerce on their dedication to the chamber's mission and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | congratulate them on the occasion of the chamber's 80th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | anniversary; and, be it further |
