| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to join |

| 3 | 3 | | Texans across the state in celebrating Children's Advocacy Centers |

| 4 | 4 | | of Texas Legislative Day at the Capitol, on January 27, 2015; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas, |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Incorporated, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the goal |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | of restoring the lives of abused and neglected children; founded |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | with a charter membership of 13 local centers, it now has a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | membership of 68 centers which are located across the state; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The organization offers a wide variety of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | services to local centers, including training programs, site |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | visits, a case tracking system, and technical assistance; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The 68 centers serve some 40,000 children each |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | year; the multidisciplinary teams work closely with law |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | enforcement officials and Department of Family and Protective |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Services representatives to coordinate joint investigations into |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | abuse and to help victims receive the services they need to heal; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Child abuse is an issue that touches all Texans, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and it is truly fitting that the Children's Advocacy Centers of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Texas receive recognition for the organization's outstanding |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | work in protecting the state's most vulnerable population; now, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend the Children's Advocacy Centers of |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Texas, Incorporated, on its efforts to ensure that abused and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | neglected children receive justice and extend to all associated |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | with the organization best wishes for a rewarding Legislative Day |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | at the Capitol; and, be it further |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | the Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas as an expression of |
|---|
