| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | its 30th anniversary, which is being celebrated throughout the |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | year and at a gala event on April 11, 2015; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce was |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | established in 1985 with the support and guidance of such |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | community leaders as Mike Grimes, L. W. Parker, and Buddy |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Priesmeyer; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Since its founding, the chamber has grown from 36 |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | charter members to include approximately 300 members who play an |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | important role in supporting businesses, area residents, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | organizations; over the years, the chamber has been dedicated to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | combining business and community resources to strengthen the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | area's economic opportunities; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The chamber has initiated a wide range of programs |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | that have had a positive impact on Pflugerville's continuing |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | growth, including the Forward Pflugerville campaign, the Best |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Little Auction in Texas fund-raiser, Halloween on Main Street, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Chamber Chatter, the Landowners' Council, and the Third |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Thursdays networking programs; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce has been |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | instrumental in making Pflugerville an ideal place in which to |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby commend the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | on its many contributions to the growth and prosperity of the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | City of Pflugerville and extend to its members best wishes for a |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | memorable 30th anniversary celebration; and, be it further |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | the chamber as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
