| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Edinburg High School Bobcat Cheerleaders, who |

| 4 | 4 | | recently won their third consecutive national championship |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | title; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Bobcat cheerleaders were among 13,000 |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | participants at the 2015 National Cheerleading Association |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | competition held in Dallas; the talented athletes were judged on |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | technical skills, choreographed cheer, and dance; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, In addition to earning the highest score in the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Small Intermediate Coed High School division, the team came home |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | with the Specialty Award for Best Stunts; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, These young performers have demonstrated great |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | talent and perseverance throughout the school year, and team |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | members can indeed take pride in their outstanding performance; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership of Coach Eva |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Guerra-Perez, the Bobcat cheerleaders have developed exceptional |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | teamwork and discipline; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Edinburg High School and the City of Edinburg are |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | proud of the Bobcats for their determination and their fine |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend the Edinburg High School Bobcat |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Cheerleaders on their outstanding achievements and congratulate |

| 25 | 25 | | them on winning the 2015 National Cheerleading Association |
