| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The MillerCoors Fort Worth Brewery is commemorating |

| 3 | 3 | | its 45th anniversary on February 25, 2015, and this significant |

| 4 | 4 | | milestone is indeed deserving of special recognition; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The then Miller Brewing Company celebrated the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | opening of this facility with a German-style spirit of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Gemütlichkeit, with company president Charles Miller handing out |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | to attendees the first bottles of Miller High Life to roll off the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | production line; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, A few years later, the brewery became the first in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the country to distribute the popular Miller Lite pilsner, and in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 1990 it added Miller Genuine Draft to its lineup; today, a staff |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | of some 650 employees takes pride in crafting a variety of beers |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | at the plant, whose annual production capacity has grown to nine |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | million barrels; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The MillerCoors Fort Worth Brewery stands at the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | forefront of sustainable business practices within the industry, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | utilizing a number of innovative water and energy conservation |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | techniques while continuing to produce the high-quality |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | beverages that its customers desire; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Throughout the past four and a half decades, the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | MillerCoors Fort Worth Brewery has made a substantial |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | contribution to the Texas economy while giving back to its |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | community in myriad ways, and it is indeed a privilege to |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | recognize the role it plays in advancing the prosperity of the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby recognize February 25, 2015, as MillerCoors |

| 29 | 29 | | Fort Worth Brewery Day at the State Capitol and commemorate the |

| 30 | 30 | | brewery's 45 years of operation; and, be it further |
