SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 275
In Memory
of
Al Patterson
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
citizens of Dallas in mourning the loss of Al Patterson, who died
January 26, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Al Patterson was born on September 18, 1925; he
was an exemplary citizen, and he was respected in the community
for his many accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, He enriched the lives of those who knew him
through his wisdom and kindness, and his enthusiasm and vitality
were an inspiration to all; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Patterson will be remembered for his
graciousness, his dignity, and his dauntless spirit; he gave
unselfishly to others, and he was dearly beloved by his family
and friends; and
WHEREAS, Al Patterson was a devoted father, and he leaves
behind memories that will long be cherished by all who were
privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
family of Al Patterson; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
memory of Al Patterson.
