| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the members of the Bryan Fire Department and Fire Chief |

| 4 | 4 | | Randy McGregor, who were honored by the Texas Fire Chief |

| 5 | 5 | | Association at its annual awards program on February 24, 2015; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Bryan Fire Department received the |

| 7 | 7 | | prestigious Lone Star Achievement Award; the award honors a fire |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | department for implementing an innovative and progressive |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | program that enhances the community's fire and life safety |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | service delivery; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Chief McGregor was unanimously selected as the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | recipient of the Fire Chief of the Year Award, the association's |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | highest honor for service; this award honors fire chiefs who have |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision over the course |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | of the previous year; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Under the outstanding direction of Chief |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | McGregor, the members of the Bryan Fire Department have performed |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | with remarkable professionalism and dedication to duty; it is |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | truly fitting that they receive recognition for their |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | outstanding work; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby commend Chief Randy McGregor and the members |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | of the Bryan Fire Department on their commitment to public safety |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | and extend congratulations to them on receiving these |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | prestigious awards from the Texas Fire Chief Association; and, be |
