44 Sandra Lee Anderson
55 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
66 citizens of Lorena in mourning the loss of Sandra Lee Anderson,
77 who died March 7, 2015, at the age of 67; and
88 WHEREAS, Sandy Anderson was born on August 22, 1947, to
99 Charles and Glendine Sears in Richwood, West Virginia; she
1010 graduated from Brentwood High School in Brentwood, New York; and
1111 WHEREAS, She married Charles "Doc" Anderson on August 21,
1212 1981, and they enjoyed more than 33 years of marriage together;
1313 she was blessed with a son, Thomas Schmidt and with three
1414 grandsons, Jonathan Reyes and Bradlee and Jaeson Estes; and
1515 WHEREAS, Mrs. Anderson took part in a wide range of
1616 activities in her adopted hometown of Lorena; she was an advocate
1717 for the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo and was involved with the
1818 McLennan County Republican Ladies Club and the McLennan County
1919 Republican Club; and
2020 WHEREAS, She was an active participant in her husband's
2121 work, both as a helper at Anderson Veterinary Hospital and Top
2222 Notch Ranch and as a dedicated supporter of his political
2323 campaigns; and
2424 WHEREAS, She was an accomplished bowler and competed at
2525 local, state, and national levels with her team, the Byrd House,
2626 for more than 25 years; she was an avid football fan of the Texas
2727 Aggies and the Dallas Cowboys; and
2828 WHEREAS, Sandy Anderson was a woman of warmth and
2929 compassion who gave unselfishly to others, and her courage during
3030 her long battle with multiple myeloma, and her enthusiasm for
3131 living each day to the fullest will not be forgotten by those who
3232 were privileged to share in her life; and
3333 WHEREAS, She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and
3434 grandmother, and she leaves behind memories that will be
3535 treasured forever by her family and countless friends; now,
3636 therefore, be it
3737 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
3838 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
3939 family of Sandra Lee Anderson; and, be it further
4040 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
4141 her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
4242 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
4343 memory of Sandra Lee Anderson.
