SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 373 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the documentary team from Argyle High School, which won the Division I documentary film state title at the University Interscholastic League Young Filmmakers Festival; and WHEREAS, The team won this prestigious honor for its seven-minute film Rubber Band Reminders, which chronicles the life lessons about humility, second chances, and remembering one's roots that shaped the life of noted attorney and trial and jury consultant Robert Hirschhorn; and WHEREAS, Team members demonstrated talent and insight in creating the prize-winning film; it was directed by Annabel Thorpe, and Matt Garnett served as producer and technical editor; Micki Hirschhorn and Heather Lindemann provided research and interview support, and Caleb Miles was in charge of videography; the efforts of these dedicated students were supported by journalism sponsor and teacher Stacy Short; and WHEREAS, Argyle High School and the people of North Texas are proud of these students for their hard work and their impressive skills; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to the Argyle High School documentary team on winning the Division I University Interscholastic League documentary film state title; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the team as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
