| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Lady Eagles captured the title by defeating |

| 7 | 7 | | Abilene's Wylie High School by a score of 46-25 at the Alamodome |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | in San Antonio; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, These young student athletes have demonstrated |

| 10 | 10 | | great talent and perseverance over the course of the school year, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | ending their season with a record of 32-6; team members Jocelyn |

| 12 | 12 | | Pierce, Brittany Hamilton, Vivian Gray, Molly Sheridan, Hannah |

| 13 | 13 | | Adkins, Delaney Sain, Mira Lillard, Madison Ralston, Kaylie |

| 14 | 14 | | King, Kayla Haynes, Sophie Betzhold, Jesse Sheridan, Olivia |

| 15 | 15 | | Gray, Claire Betzhold, and Madison Stapleton can all take great |

| 16 | 16 | | pride in their outstanding performance; and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Under the leadership of head coach Skip Townsend, |

| 18 | 18 | | and with the exemplary aid of assistant coaches Sammye Townsend, |

| 19 | 19 | | Brady Bell, and Derek Hilliard, the Lady Eagles developed |

| 20 | 20 | | exceptional teamwork and discipline; the coaching staff was ably |

| 21 | 21 | | supported by manager Cheyanne Gantz, videographer Yaritza |

| 22 | 22 | | Sanchez, and statisticians Caroline Tynes, Leighton Eschle, and |

| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Argyle High School and the people of Argyle are |

| 25 | 25 | | proud of the Lady Eagles for their hard work, their impressive |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to the Argyle High School |

| 29 | 29 | | Lady Eagles basketball team on winning the 2015 Class 4A University |
