11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 397
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize the Texas A&M University students who are serving
44 internships in Austin in the spring of 2015 as participants in
55 the Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy Internship Program
66 and the Public Policy Internship Program; and
77 WHEREAS, The Aggie Interns participating in these exceptional
88 programs contribute their skills and efforts in the offices of elected
99 officials, state agencies, and other entities; their involvement
1010 gives them the opportunity to supplement their classroom work with
1111 valuable hands-on experience in their chosen fields of study; and
1212 WHEREAS, The Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy
1313 Internship Program helps students increase their research abilities
1414 and gain a better understanding of complex organizations and systems
1515 while learning the ins and outs of the policy process; and
1616 WHEREAS, Students in the Public Policy Internship Program
1717 represent the leading edge of society's increasing interest and
1818 participation in public policy issues and programs; and
1919 WHEREAS, This year's Austin participants are Angela Avila,
2020 Wayne Beckermann, Demeris Burritt, Stephen Cain, Joshua Caniglia,
2121 Justin Cantu, William Carey, Erin Carney, Katherine Diaz, Ainslie
2222 Ellis, Nicole ElMurr, Lauren Felder, Marcus Garcia, Angelo Gonzalez,
2323 Taylor Hartmann, Miranda Heck, Ashley Hielscher, Elin Isenhower, Ross
2424 Johnson, Jaret King, Julia Lancaster, Andrew Lindinger, Kade Long,
2525 Madeline McLean, Lauren Mehalic, Sarah Narvaiz, Carla Pelcastre, Zain
2626 Pleuthner, Quinn Qian, Jami Sims, Molly Smith, Joshua Vasquez,
2727 Samantha Wallace, Ke'Shantenal Wallace, and Vanisha Weatherspoon; and
2828 WHEREAS, The Aggie Interns exemplify the coming generation of
2929 leaders who will lead our state and nation forward, and it is truly
3030 fitting that they receive recognition for their hard work and
3131 dedication; now, therefore, be it
3232 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
3333 Legislature, hereby commend the Aggie Interns on their
3434 commitment to public service and extend to them best wishes for
3535 continued success in all their endeavors; and, be it further
3636 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
3737 them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
