| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Texas A&M University students who are serving |

| 4 | 4 | | internships in Austin in the spring of 2015 as participants in |

| 5 | 5 | | the Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy Internship Program |

| 6 | 6 | | and the Public Policy Internship Program; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, The Aggie Interns participating in these exceptional |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | programs contribute their skills and efforts in the offices of elected |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | officials, state agencies, and other entities; their involvement |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | gives them the opportunity to supplement their classroom work with |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | valuable hands-on experience in their chosen fields of study; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Internship Program helps students increase their research abilities |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and gain a better understanding of complex organizations and systems |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | while learning the ins and outs of the policy process; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Students in the Public Policy Internship Program |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | represent the leading edge of society's increasing interest and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | participation in public policy issues and programs; and |
|---|
