| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Lewisville Independent School District Education |

| 4 | 4 | | Foundation on the occasion of the organization's 25th |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | anniversary; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Lewisville Independent School District |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Education Foundation was established as a nonprofit organization |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | in 1990 to enrich the quality of public education in the thirteen |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | communities served by the district; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Since its inception, the foundation has supported |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | excellence in education by establishing and distributing |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | supplemental funds in designated program areas; it supports the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | district's priority projects for which tax dollars are not |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | available; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The Lewisville Independent School District |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Education Foundation has provided teachers with the tools they |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | need to foster success in the classroom and has broadened |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | opportunities for student learning; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby commend the founders of the Lewisville |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Independent School District Education Foundation and its board |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | of trustees for promoting quality education in the school |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | district and extend best wishes to all associated with the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | foundation for continued success; and, be it further |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the foundation as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
