| 3 | 3 | | welcome the coalition of civic-minded Texans gathering in Austin |

| 4 | 4 | | on March 23, 2015, to discuss transportation policy on Toll-Free |

| 5 | 5 | | Texas Day at the State Capitol; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, In a combined effort, the dedicated members of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | three associations are advocating for the construction of new |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | roads that will not require drivers to pay tolls; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Members of Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the Eagle Forum, and Grassroots America-We the People are coming |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | together to engage in discussion and debate and to represent |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | their views as part of the process by which public policy is |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | developed; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Each of these groups has successfully advocated |

| 15 | 15 | | for goals that its members support, and they have empowered |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | countless citizens to speak out on issues of vital importance; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | they have worked closely with state and national policy groups, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | think tanks, and conservative groups across the country; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, The continued prosperity of the Lone Star State |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | depends on an effective transportation system, and concerned |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | citizens have a vital role to play in the discussions surrounding |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | this matter; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby recognize March 23, 2015, as Toll-Free Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Day at the State Capitol and commend all those involved for their |
