| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Jeff Pilchiek for 30 years of exemplary service in the |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | field of public education; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Jeff Pilchiek has served as a teacher and as a |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | certified public school counselor in communities across the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | state, and he has helped countless students navigate the college |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | admission process; most recently, he served as director of |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Guidance for the Eanes Independent School District; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Pilchiek has visited college campuses across |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the country in order to gain a personal perspective on the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | institutions' programs and environment so that he could better |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | guide his students to the college that best suited their needs; |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | in recognition of his expertise, many colleges have invited him |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | to serve on their counselor advisory boards, including the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | University of Chicago and Texas Tech University; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A longtime leader in his profession, Mr. Pilchiek |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | has served as president of the Texas Association for College |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Admission Counseling, as a committee member for the National |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Association for College Admission Counseling, and as a member of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | the ApplyTexas Committee for the Texas Higher Education |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Coordinating Board; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary educator and counselor, Mr. Pilchiek |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | has had a positive influence on the lives of innumerable young |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | people, and he is truly deserving of special recognition for his |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | dedication and expertise; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby commend Jeff Pilchiek on 30 years of |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | outstanding service as a public school counselor and a leader in |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | the field of education and extend to him best wishes for |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
