| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dr. Sidney Richardson on the grand occasion of his 90th |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | birthday; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman is well known for |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | his wisdom and generosity of spirit, and he is a respected and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | admired citizen of Cameron; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Sidney Richardson was born on December 31, 1924; |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | he graduated from Baylor University in 1949 and went on to earn a |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Galveston; he moved to Cameron in 1957 and established his |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | medical practice; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, While in the private practice of medicine, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Dr. Richardson delivered hundreds of babies and served the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | people of Cameron with compassion and professionalism; he is |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | currently serving as medical director of the Milam County Health |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Department, and over the last 18 years, he has played a vital role |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | in the provision of health care to countless Milam County |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | citizens; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, He and his beloved wife, the late Dorothy |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Richardson, were blessed with four children who have been a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | source of much pride and joy; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, A treasured and respected member of his |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | community, he is noted for his courage, his dedication to serving |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | others, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Sidney Richardson on his many |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | achievements and extend to him congratulations on the occasion of |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | his 90th birthday; and, be it further |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
