SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 45 In Memory of Scott Crane WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of McAllen in mourning the loss of civic leader and businessman Scott Crane, who died December 14, 2014, at the age of 50; and WHEREAS, Scott Crane was born May 10, 1964, in Houston, to Robert and Baudelia Crane; he was a 1987 graduate of Texas Christian University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity; and WHEREAS, He and his beloved wife, Sasha, were blessed with two children, Taylor and Diego; and WHEREAS, Mr. Crane was devoted to his adopted hometown of McAllen; he served three terms on the McAllen City Commission, where he was known for his dedication to the arts and his commitment to the city's parks; and WHEREAS, He was a successful entrepreneur and the owner of Carwash Carwash and Tesoro Metals Recycling; he had many talents and interests, and he participated in numerous marathons and was an avid outdoorsman; and WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, his generous nature, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be forgotten; and WHEREAS, He was a devoted son, husband, and father, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and countless friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Scott Crane; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Scott Crane.
