| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | citizens of McAllen in mourning the loss of civic leader and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | businessman Scott Crane, who died December 14, 2014, at the age |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | of 50; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Scott Crane was born May 10, 1964, in Houston, to |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Robert and Baudelia Crane; he was a 1987 graduate of Texas |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Christian University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | fraternity; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, He and his beloved wife, Sasha, were blessed with |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | two children, Taylor and Diego; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Crane was devoted to his adopted hometown of |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | McAllen; he served three terms on the McAllen City Commission, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | where he was known for his dedication to the arts and his |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | commitment to the city's parks; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, He was a successful entrepreneur and the owner of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Carwash Carwash and Tesoro Metals Recycling; he had many talents |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and interests, and he participated in numerous marathons and was |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | an avid outdoorsman; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, his generous nature, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | forgotten; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, He was a devoted son, husband, and father, and he |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | family and countless friends; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | family of Scott Crane; and, be it further |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | memory of Scott Crane. |
