1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 476
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	3	welcome representatives from the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists
4	4	as they celebrate March 31, 2015, as Texas Anesthesiologists Day
5	5	at the State Capitol; and
6	6	WHEREAS, A recognized component of the American Society of
7	7	Anesthesiologists, the Texas organization works tirelessly to
8	8	keep its over 3,300 members abreast of the latest developments in
9	9	this crucial medical field; and
10	10	WHEREAS, Founded in 1936, the Texas Society of
11	11	Anesthesiologists emphasizes the advancement, promotion, and
12	12	support of the medical specialty of anesthesiology in this state;
13	13	its members benefit greatly from the association's continuing
14	14	education programs and annual meetings; and
15	15	WHEREAS, This outstanding organization engages in
16	16	legislative and legal advocacy, and, in keeping with the national
17	17	association, it steadfastly underscores the importance of
18	18	patient safety and care; and
19	19	WHEREAS, Through a network of committees, the Texas
20	20	Society of Anesthesiologists also allows members to participate
21	21	in and make recommendations on numerous issues that are relevant
22	22	to the profession, including scientific, administrative, and
23	23	educational concerns; and
24	24	WHEREAS, During Texas Anesthesiologists Day at the State
25	25	Capitol, members of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists offer
26	26	important lifesaving cardiopulmonary resuscitation training to
27	27	all legislators and Capitol staff; now, therefore, be it
28	28	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
29	29	Legislature, hereby commend all those participating in Texas
30	30	Anesthesiologists Day at the State Capitol and extend best wishes
31	31	as they celebrate the occasion; and, be it further
32	32	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
33	33	the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists as an expression of high
34	34	regard from the Texas Senate.
