| 5 | 5 | | further insight into the workings of state government; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Led by the Board of Directors for Leadership |

| 7 | 7 | | Granbury, this exceptional program provides opportunities for |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | participants to increase their knowledge of vital public issues |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | and to visit with the leaders who are making decisions that |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | affect their communities; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and |

| 12 | 12 | | provide a diverse membership with personal leadership training, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | networking opportunities, and instruction from influential |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | figures from both the public and private sectors; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Endeavoring to build a more informed and involved |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | citizenry and to develop new leaders, Leadership Granbury is |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | helping to build a brighter and more promising future for the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby welcome Leadership Granbury to the State |

| 21 | 21 | | Capitol and extend to all participants sincere best wishes for |
