| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Rodolfo Bazan on his 2015 induction into the Junior |

| 4 | 4 | | Achievement of Laredo Business Hall of Fame; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Junior Achievement of Laredo works in partnership |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | with business leaders and educators to inspire young people and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | prepare them to succeed in today's complex global economy; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Rodolfo Bazan is a native of Nuevo Laredo, and he |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | completed undergraduate studies in both business administration |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and finance and marketing at Saint Edward's University; he began |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | his career as an assistant brand manager at Home Products de |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | México, and he went on to serve as accounts director at an |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | internationally renowned advertising agency; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, He then joined his father's company and earned his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | customs broker license; in 1990, he and his brother established |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | the RB Group, which has since expanded to become a top customs |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | brokerage firm and provides services to Fortune 500 companies at |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | all main ports of entry in Mexico; over the years, the brothers |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | have diversified their interests in other business ventures, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | including the RB Ranch, a premier cattle operation; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Bazan is a former chair of the Laredo chapter |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | of the Young Presidents Organization; he dedicates his time and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | energy to numerous charities and civic organizations in the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | community, and he is indeed deserving of recognition for his many |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, hereby commend Rodolfo Bazan on his exemplary |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | achievements and extend congratulations to him on his induction |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | into the Junior Achievement of Laredo Business Hall of Fame; and, |
