11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 549
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize the members of Vision Fort Worth on the occasion of
44 their visit to the State Capitol; and
55 WHEREAS, Vision Fort Worth is an organization for young
66 professionals that was established by the Fort Worth Chamber of
77 Commerce in 2006; the organization aims to cultivate future city
88 leaders by creating opportunities for young people to network and
99 to discover their own paths to success; and
1010 WHEREAS, Since its inception, Vision Fort Worth has grown
1111 to over 400 members and offers events two or three times per
1212 month; members can participate in a strong mentorship program and
1313 are provided with numerous opportunities to become involved with
1414 the community, to hear from top city leaders, and to attend
1515 professional workshops and lectures; and
1616 WHEREAS, Young professionals are flocking to the
1717 Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex to establish careers in a vibrant and
1818 diverse region of Texas, and Vision Fort Worth works to ensure
1919 that they have every opportunity to thrive; now, therefore, be it
2020 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
2121 Legislature, hereby commend Vision Fort Worth for the
2222 organization's work on behalf of the community and assistance to
2323 young professionals in their quest for success and extend to all
2424 best wishes for an enjoyable visit to Austin; and, be it further
2525 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
2626 organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
