| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Deputy Rick Maldonado, who is retiring from the Harris |

| 4 | 4 | | County Precinct 5 Constable's Office after 23 years of |

| 5 | 5 | | exceptional service to the community; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Deputy Maldonado has |

| 7 | 7 | | handled the many responsibilities of a deputy constable with |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | professionalism and a heartfelt commitment to public service; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the constable's office, Deputy |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Maldonado has gone above and beyond the call of duty numerous |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | times to serve the people of Precinct 5; his quick thinking and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | decisive action have led to successful outcomes in lifesaving |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | situations on more than one occasion, and he has received a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | number of commendations for his exceptional work in vehicle |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | recovery cases; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant and peace officer, he |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | is respected and admired by colleagues and citizens alike, and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | his presence at the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature, hereby commend Deputy Rick Maldonado on his |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | outstanding service with the Harris County Precinct 5 |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Constable's Office and extend to him best wishes for continued |

| 24 | 24 | | success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
