| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dr. Patrick "Doc" Breen, who is stepping down as |

| 4 | 4 | | scholarship chair for the Williamson County A&M Club after 24 |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | years of exemplary service; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Doc Breen is a 1978 graduate of Texas A&M |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | University, and he has a true passion for helping young adults to |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | receive an education from his alma mater; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, He began his service as scholarship chair in 1990, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and his first scholarship award was for $500; under his |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | leadership, 99 students have been awarded $250,700 in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | scholarships, and in 2014, nine were awarded a total of $39,000 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | to attend the university; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Doc Breen has handled the responsibilities of his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | position with the utmost dedication, and his work with the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Williamson County A&M Club has made the difference in the lives |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | of many young citizens; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Patrick Breen on his exceptional |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | achievements as scholarship chair of the Williamson County A&M |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Club and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be |

| 22 | 22 | | it further |
