11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 606
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize Lane Bogar for earning a Girl Scout Gold Award; and
44 WHEREAS, Few receive this distinguished award, the highest
55 level of achievement in the Girl Scout program; and
66 WHEREAS, Through the process of earning the Gold Award,
77 girls develop a lifelong commitment to community service and gain
88 skills that will contribute to their future success; and
99 WHEREAS, Lane has displayed leadership by designing and
1010 conducting a service project that will have a positive and
1111 lasting effect on her community; she guided volunteers in
1212 creating and organizing a library for students to use at the
1313 Santa Clara Community Center; and
1414 WHEREAS, In receiving the Gold Award, Lane has brought
1515 great honor to herself, her family, her council, her community,
1616 and her state, and she deserves recognition for her
1717 accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
1818 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
1919 Legislature, hereby commend Lane Bogar on earning this
2020 prestigious award and congratulate her on her outstanding
2121 achievements; and, be it further
2222 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2323 her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
