11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 632
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize ExxonMobil Baytown on the occasion of the
44 ribbon-cutting ceremony for its Lubes Expansion Project, which
55 is taking place April 28, 2015; and
66 WHEREAS, ExxonMobil Baytown is the nation's largest
77 integrated petrochemical complex and one of the most
88 technologically advanced refining and petrochemical facilities
99 in the world; located on 3,400 acres along the Houston Ship
1010 Channel, the complex has played a vital role in the economy of the
1111 Texas Gulf Coast for nearly a hundred years; and
1212 WHEREAS, The Lubes Expansion Project increases the
1313 manufacturing capacity and the caliber of the ingredients used to
1414 produce the company's high-quality oils and greases, resulting
1515 in the improved performance of heavy engine oil and lubricant
1616 applications; and
1717 WHEREAS, During the construction of this important new
1818 facility, 600 workers were employed, and no recordable injuries
1919 were documented over the course of 2.3 million working hours; and
2020 WHEREAS, It is truly fitting that the opening of this
2121 addition to the ExxonMobil Baytown complex receive special
2222 recognition; now, therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
2424 Legislature, hereby commend ExxonMobil Baytown on its continued
2525 commitment to improvement in product quality and extend best
2626 wishes to all for a memorable ribbon-cutting ceremony for its
2727 Lubes Expansion Project; and, be it further
2828 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2929 the company as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
