3 | 3 | | of the Texas Farm Bureau and its affiliated companies in December |

4 | 4 | | 2014, concluding a distinguished tenure that spanned 12 years; and |

5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Elected to the Texas Farm Bureau board of |

6 | 6 | | directors in 1996, Mr. Dierschke was named vice president in 2000 |
---|
7 | 7 | | and president in 2002; he has also served on the boards of the |
---|
8 | 8 | | American Farm Bureau Federation, Southern Farm Bureau Life |
---|
9 | 9 | | Insurance Company, and Farm Bureau Bank, and on the executive |
---|
10 | 10 | | committee of the Farm Bureau Bank; and |
---|
11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Dierschke was previously a member of the Tom |
---|
12 | 12 | | Green County Farm Bureau board for more than two decades, and he |
---|
13 | 13 | | served two terms as its president; over the years, he gave further of |
---|
14 | 14 | | his time and talents to the Texas Farm Bureau as a member of its Blue |
---|
15 | 15 | | Ribbon Goals, State Resolutions, and Cotton Advisory Committees; and |
---|
16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, This dynamic Texan has been a member of the United |
---|
17 | 17 | | States Trade Representatives Advisory Council, and since 1998, |
---|
18 | 18 | | he has served as agricultural representative on the Region F |
---|
19 | 19 | | Water Planning Group; in addition, he has served on the |
---|
20 | 20 | | Conservation Task Force for the Texas Water Development Board and |
---|
21 | 21 | | the Cotton Board and its executive committee; moreover, he has |
---|
22 | 22 | | been a director of the Southern Rolling Plains Cotton Growers |
---|
23 | 23 | | Association and a member of the United States Department of |
---|
24 | 24 | | Agriculture Trade Representative Advisory Committee and of the |
---|
25 | 25 | | American Farm Bureau Trade Advisory Committee; and |
---|
26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, A fourth-generation farmer, Mr. Dierschke raises |

27 | 27 | | cotton and milo, and he was selected as the Concho Soil and Water |

28 | 28 | | ConservationDistrict FarmeroftheYear;heistherecipientof |

29 | 29 | | the Area Chapter Farmer Award from the Wall FFA as well; a |

30 | 30 | | graduate of Wall High School, he attended San Angelo College; and |

31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Dierschke has greatly benefited the Texas |

32 | 32 | | Farm Bureau through his dedicated leadership, and he may indeed |

33 | 33 | | reflect with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

34 | 34 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
---|
35 | 35 | | Legislature, hereby honor Kenneth Dierschke for his outstanding |

36 | 36 | | contributions as president of the Texas Farm Bureau and extend to |
---|
37 | 37 | | him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
