| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The cook-off is sanctioned by the International |

| 6 | 6 | | Barbeque Cookers Association as one of the organization's annual |

| 7 | 7 | | state cook-offs, and this year's event is being held in Midland |

| 8 | 8 | | on October 10, 2015, with proceeds benefiting Gifts of Hope, Hope |

| 9 | 9 | | House, and the Look Good Feel Good Shop; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of the cook-off's history, more |

| 11 | 11 | | than $433,750 has been raised to provide support and comfort to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | cancer patients across West Texas; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | chili, and the 15th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Chili and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Barbecue Cook-off is sure to provide cuisine to satisfy the most |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | discriminating of palates; now, therefore, be it |

| 17 | 17 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 18 | 18 | | Legislature, hereby commend the sponsors and organizers of the |

| 19 | 19 | | 15th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Chili and Barbecue Cook-off |

| 20 | 20 | | and extend to them best wishes for a successful event; and, be |
