| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Prep School has been selected for the |

| 3 | 3 | | 2015 Best of Frisco Award in the elementary and secondary schools |

| 4 | 4 | | category by the Frisco Award Program; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Frisco Award Program annually recognizes |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | local businesses and organizations that have made significant |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | contributions to the community; honorees are chosen on the basis |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | of information gathered by third parties and by the program |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | itself; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Established in 2011, Leadership Prep enrolls some |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 520 students in kindergarten through the seventh grade; in 2014, the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | school received the accountability rating "Met Standard" with |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | distinctions, the highest level assigned by the Texas Education |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Agency, ranking it among the top two percent of Texas public |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | schools; in addition, the school earned a perfect financial audit |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | score during its most recent state review; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Prep is a member of the Texas Charter |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | School Academic and Athletic League, and its students have |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | distinguished themselves in a number of extracurricular activities, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | such as one-act play competition and the Math Olympiad; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, By providing a first-rate education for the students |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | under its care, Leadership Prep is helping to equip young people in |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | the community for the challenges and opportunities of the future, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | and its accomplishments are indeed deserving of recognition; |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Leadership Prep School on its |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | receipt of the 2015 Best of Frisco Award in the elementary and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | secondary schools category and extend sincere best wishes for |

| 30 | 30 | | continued success to its students, faculty, administrators, and |
|---|
