| 5 | 5 | | Tennis Center in Norfolk, Virginia; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Roadrunners captured the title with a 4-2 |

| 7 | 7 | | victory over Rice University in the tournament final; Tito |

| 8 | 8 | | Moreiras, Tomas Stillman, and Diogo Casa posted singles wins for |

| 9 | 9 | | the university, while the teams of Mr. Casa and Yannick Junger |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and Jake Rother and Joel Rubio were triumphant in doubles |

| 11 | 11 | | matches; also competing for the Roadrunners was Joao Riquelme; and |

| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ably guided by head coach Jeff Kader, the team |

| 13 | 13 | | improved its overall record to 17 wins against 8 defeats in |

| 14 | 14 | | claiming the school's first tournament crown since 2012; with the |

| 15 | 15 | | victory, the Roadrunners have secured a berth in the National |

| 16 | 16 | | Collegiate Athletic Assocation Championship tournament in May; and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Demonstrating great skill and an unwavering |

| 18 | 18 | | dedication to excellence, the talented student-athletes of the |

| 19 | 19 | | University of Texas at San Antonio men's tennis team have proven |

| 20 | 20 | | themselves to be the finest squad in Conference USA, and they may |

| 21 | 21 | | indeed reflect with pride on their outstanding accomplishment; |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
