| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Sara Barge for her outstanding work as a legislative |

| 4 | 4 | | intern in the office of Senator Royce West; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Sara is a 2013 graduate of The University of Texas |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | at Austin, where she earned a degree in human biology with a |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | concentration in pathogenesis and immunity; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, She has taken part in various activities to help |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | prepare her for a career in public health; she served as a |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | research assistant in a laboratory and was trained to use a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | transmission electron microscope, and she was a research |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | specialist for the Advanced Maternal Age project; her work on |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | those two assignments was included in published reports; she has |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | also worked as a pharmacy technician; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, She has been a volunteer with a variety of |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | community and philanthropic activities, including service with |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and with a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | resource fair for homeless persons; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, As an intern during the 84th legislative session |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and the past interim, Sara Barge has played a significant role in |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | the office of Senator West, and it is truly fitting that she receive |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | recognition for her dedicated efforts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend Sara Barge on her exceptional work as |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | a legislative intern for Senator Royce West and extend to her |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be |
|---|
