| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Lieutenant Colonel James G. Nolan for his 20 years of |

| 4 | 4 | | exceptional service with the Texas State Guard; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Lieutenant Colonel Nolan was commissioned as an |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | officer with the Texas State Guard on May 13, 1995, and he |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | currently serves with distinction as a member of the Judge |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Advocate General's Corps; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A 1985 graduate of Southern Methodist University |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | School of Law, he also serves the state as an associate deputy |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | general counsel with the Office of the Comptroller of Public |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Accounts; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The Texas State Guard plays an important role in |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the defense of our nation's security and democratic ideals, and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | for 20 years, Lieutenant Colonel Nolan has been instrumental in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | carrying out the mission of this valuable division of the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | military forces; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Legislature, hereby commend Lieutenant Colonel James G. Nolan on |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | his exceptional service to our state and nation as a 20-year |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | member of the Texas State Guard and extend to him best wishes for |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
