| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service on the |

| 4 | 4 | | occasion of its 100th anniversary and the Liberty County |

| 5 | 5 | | Extension Office for its outstanding programs; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Throughout its history, the Texas A&M AgriLife |

| 7 | 7 | | Extension Service has been an invaluable resource for citizens |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | across the state; the organization is known for its trusted |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | research and educators and for its ability to solve a wide range |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | of problems; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, County extension agents offer a wide array of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | opportunities for volunteers to serve their communities; agents |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | provide these dedicated men and women with training and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | curriculum resources for such important initiatives as the Texas |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 4-H Youth Development Program; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The many programs offered by the Liberty County |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Extension Office include the Master Gardener Horticulture Program, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Jumpstart Child Care Provider Training, the Walk Across Texas |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Program, the Texas Rural Leadership Program, and the Teaching |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Agricultural Sustainability Through Economics Program; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has had a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | profound impact on the state's environment and natural resources |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and has played a significant role in improving agricultural |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | practices; the extension service is truly deserving of special |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | recognition as it celebrates this milestone in its history; now, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate the Texas A&M AgriLife |

| 29 | 29 | | Extension Service on its 100th anniversary and commend the |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Liberty County Extension Office on carrying out the work of the |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | service through its excellent programs; and, be it further |
