11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 8
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize the Cameron Yoe High School football team, which recently
44 won the Class 3A Division I state championship title; and
55 WHEREAS, The Cameron Yoemen were victorious in their
66 appearance at the state finals, defeating the Edna Cowboys 70-34
77 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington; after a close lead in the first
88 half, the Yoemen pushed through a 28-0 scoring run to close out
99 the game; and
1010 WHEREAS, These young athletes have demonstrated great
1111 talent and perseverance throughout the school year, and their
1212 dedication has truly paid off; team members can take pride in
1313 their outstanding performance; and
1414 WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of
1515 their talented coaching staff, the Yoemen have developed
1616 exceptional teamwork and discipline; and
1717 WHEREAS, Cameron Yoe High School and the City of Cameron
1818 are proud of the Yoemen for their hard work, their impressive
1919 skills, and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
2020 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
2121 Legislature, hereby commend the Cameron Yoe High School Yoemen on
2222 their successful season and congratulate them on winning the Class
2323 3A Division I state football championship; and, be it further
2424 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2525 the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
