| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Jesse H. Jones High School Class of 1975 on the occasion |

| 4 | 4 | | of its 40th reunion, which is being held May 22 through 24, 2015; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, This reunion is an opportunity for class members |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | to reminisce about the many high school adventures they shared |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | and the reunion activities of years past; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The Class of 1975 confronted unique tests as one of |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | the early classes to face the challenges of school integration; its |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | members managed to avoid many of the difficulties common in those |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | days, and instead, students worked together to achieve positive |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | results and to set a fine example for others to follow; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, In gathering together to celebrate their 40th |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | reunion, the members of the class of 1975 are expressing their |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | longtime commitment to tradition, unity, and loyal friendship; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The students of the class of 1975 have become |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | leaders in their communities and productive members of society, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and they deserve to be proud of their many successful endeavors; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Jesse H. Jones |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | High School Class of 1975 on their many achievements and extend |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | to them best wishes for a memorable 40th reunion; and, be it |
