| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Stefan Sinclair, who has been named the 2014 Texas Big |

| 4 | 4 | | Brother of the Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Stefan Sinclair has lived in Austin for seven |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | years and has a successful career in game development; he |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | began working with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas in |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 2010; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, For two and one-half years, Stefan has been a |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | source of encouragement and support for his Little Brother, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Miguel Contreras; they enjoy numerous rewarding activities |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | together, including marathon running, cycling, canoeing, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | playing chess; due to Stefan's positive influence, Miguel has |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | made notable improvements in his school work and has become more |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | connected to his community; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, In addition to spending time with Miguel, Stefan |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | has raised thousands of dollars for the Big Brothers Big Sisters |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | program through his game development company, Certain Affinity; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | he also serves as a technology mentor for the program, and he |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | helped develop an application that enables children in the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | program to find low-cost, fun activities around the city; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Stefan is being honored for his service at a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | reception at the Texas Capitol on February 9, 2015; now, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby commend Stefan Sinclair on his dedication to |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Miguel Contreras and to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | and congratulate him on his selection as the 2014 Texas Big |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Brother of the Year; and, be it further |

| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
