11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 922
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize Jerry Peruchini, who is graduating from the first
44 fellowship class of New Leaders Council--Houston; and
55 WHEREAS, New Leaders Council--Houston is a nonprofit,
66 nonpartisan organization that is training a new generation of
77 progressives to work together in the public and private sectors
88 and to take leadership roles in the promotion of a strong
99 democracy, social and economic justice, and equal opportunity; and
1010 WHEREAS, Jerry Peruchini has devoted substantial time and
1111 resources to honing his leadership skills; he has learned from
1212 his peers and from experts, and he has developed a deeper
1313 understanding of progressive values; and
1414 WHEREAS, He is an actively engaged member of his community,
1515 and he has demonstrated a deep commitment to building a stronger
1616 progressive network in order to craft a better future for Texas;
1717 now, therefore, be it
1818 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
1919 Legislature, hereby commend Jerry Peruchini on his dedication to
2020 the betterment of his community and state and extend to him
2121 congratulations and best wishes for much success in the future as
2222 a Founding Fellow of New Leaders Council--Houston; and, be
2323 it further
2424 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2525 him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
