1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 946
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	3	recognize Shane G. Davitt of Boy Scout Troop 600 in Kingwood for
4	4	achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; this fine young man joined the
5	5	elite corps of Eagles recently and was presented the coveted
6	6	Eagle Badge at a Court of Honor; and
7	7	WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only five
8	8	out of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program attain the rank of
9	9	Eagle Scout; and
10	10	WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
11	11	promise, Shane advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second,
12	12	First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and
13	13	WHEREAS, This personable young man displayed leadership
14	14	through planning, developing, and conducting a service project
15	15	that benefited his community; he is truly a shining example to
16	16	his fellow Scouts and the young people of Texas; and
17	17	WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, Shane has brought
18	18	great honor to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and
19	19	his state; now, therefore, be it
20	20	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
21	21	Legislature, hereby commend Shane G. Davitt on receiving this
22	22	prestigious honor and congratulate him on his outstanding
23	23	achievement; and, be it further
24	24	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
25	25	Eagle Scout Davitt as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
