| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Foster Edwards, who is retiring October 31, 2015, as |

| 4 | 4 | | president and chief executive officer of the Corpus Christi |

| 5 | 5 | | Chamber of Commerce; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Edwards joined the chamber at a difficult |

| 7 | 7 | | time, and he was able to bring stability to the organization and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | make it once again relevant in the community; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, During his tenure, he has been noted for his |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | creativity and his people skills; his hands-on approach with |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | elected representatives and Pentagon officials has helped Corpus |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Christi to keep and protect military installations and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | investments; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, he has handled his many |

| 15 | 15 | | responsibilities with exceptional dedication and administrative |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | expertise; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary executive, he is respected and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Corpus Christi |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Chamber of Commerce will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature, hereby commend Foster Edwards on his outstanding |

| 22 | 22 | | service to the Corpus Christi community as president and chief |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | executive officer of the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce and |

| 24 | 24 | | extend to him best wishes for continued success in all his |
