115 relating to excluding a person on the suspense list from jury duty.
126 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
137 SECTION 1. Section 62.001(d), Government Code, is amended
148 to read as follows:
159 (d) The list required by Subsection (a)(1) must [(c) may]
1610 exclude[, at the option of the voter registrar of each county,] the
1711 names of persons on the suspense list maintained under Section
1812 15.081, Election Code.
1913 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2014 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2115 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2216 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2317 Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
