A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to comprehensive development agreement authority of the
Texas Department of Transportation for the Interstate Highway 35
Northeast Expansion project.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 223.201, Transportation Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (f-1) to read as follows:
(f-1) The department may enter into a comprehensive
development agreement for the Interstate Highway 35 Northeast
Expansion project from Loop 410 South in Bexar County to
Farm-to-Market Road 1103 in Comal County. This subsection expires
August 31, 2021.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
