The bill would amend eligibility requirements for the Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program to include students enrolled in undergraduate office commissioning programs such as the United States Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Class. Based on the analysis provided by institutions of higher education and the Higher Education Coordinating Board, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
