| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 1704.002, Occupations Code, is amended | |

| 12 | 12 | Sec. 1704.002. APPLICATION OF CHAPTER. (a) Except as | |
| 13 | 13 | provided by Subsection (b), this [This] chapter applies only in a | |
| 14 | 14 | county with a population of: | |
| 15 | 15 | (1) 110,000 or more; or | |
| 16 | 16 | (2) less than 110,000 in which a board is created. | |

| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
