| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 28.053(d), Education Code, is amended to | |
| 12 | 12 | read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (d) A teacher participating in the program may be awarded: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) subsidized teacher training[, not to exceed $450 | |
| 15 | 15 | for each teacher,] for a college advanced placement course or an | |
| 16 | 16 | international baccalaureate course; | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) a one-time award of $250 for teaching a college | |
| 18 | 18 | advanced placement course or an international baccalaureate course | |
| 19 | 19 | for the first time; and | |
| 20 | 20 | (3) a share of the teacher bonus pool, which shall be | |
| 21 | 21 | distributed by the teacher's school in shares proportional to the | |
| 22 | 22 | number of courses taught. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
