| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter N, Chapter 1702, Occupations Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 1702.3245 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 1702.3245. CERTAIN VOLUNTEERS. This chapter does not | |
| 15 | 15 | apply to a person who provides volunteer security services on the | |
| 16 | 16 | premises of: | |
| 17 | 17 | (1) a private primary or secondary school; or | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) a church, synagogue, or other established place of | |
| 19 | 19 | religious worship. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
